This first post marks the start of a dialogue on infinity between a mathematician (Alexandre Borovik) and a philosopher (David Corfield). The blog is a part of a research projected funded by the John Templeton Foundation, a charitable institution which describes itself as a “philanthropic catalyst for discovery in areas engaging in life’s biggest questions.” What can be bigger than infinity?

Welcome. I don’t have any coherent, on-topic comments, but I wanted to ask David what he thinks about the difference between the WordPress platform and whatever it is that the n-Category Café is run on.

I’m sure I’ll come up with something sensible to say later, so good luck until then.

Hi John. I doubt it will make much of a difference to me. I just want to use some Latex now and then. The Café allows you to use SVG for diagrams, which the other guys use sometimes.
